Take an EV test drive at the EV Ride & Drive in Hall F

CALGARY, AB –(COMMUNITYWIRE)– Plug’n Drive is excited to invite attendees of the 2025 Calgary International Auto and Truck Show (CIATS) to experience the future of driving with a free electric vehicle (EV) test drive. Taking place from March 13 to March 16, 2025, at the BMO Centre in Calgary, this is your chance to get behind the wheel of some of the latest EVs and discover the benefits of electric driving firsthand.

Experience EV Test Drives with Plug’n Drive

“Whether you’re an EV enthusiast or just curious about electric driving, this is a must-do experience at CIATS 2025,” said Edmund Ong, onsite Plug’n Drive EV Ambassador. “Our free, brand-agnostic, and completely sales-free test drives give you the perfect opportunity to compare different EV models in a relaxed environment.”

Plug’n Drive’s EV ambassadors—many of whom are EV owners themselves—will be on-site to answer your questions, share their real-world experiences, and help you explore whether an EV is the right fit for you.

See you in the front-left of Hall F for EV test drives.

The event will be first come, first served. Test drivers must be 21 with a valid full/unrestricted Class 5 driver’s license. Hours for the test drives are:

  • Thursday March 13, 2025, 10:00 am-8:30 pm
  • Friday March 14, 2025, 10:00am-8:30 pm
  • Saturday March 15, 2025, 10:00am-8:30 pm
  • Sunday March 16, 2025, 10:00am-5:30 pm

Attendees will have the opportunity to test drive 18 electric vehicles from 11 EV brands, including:

  • Cadillac Escalade IQ
  • Cadillac OPTIQ
  • Chevrolet Blazer EV
  • Chevrolet Equinox EV
  • Chevrolet Silverado EV
  • Ford Mustang Mach-E
  • Genesis GV60
  • GMC Hummer EV SUV
  • GMC Sierra EV Denali
  • Hyundai IONIQ-5
  • Hyundai KONA EV Electric
  • Kia EV6 GT Line Limited
  • Kia EV9 GT-Line
  • Nissan  ARIYA
  • Porsche Macan
  • Volkswagen ID.4
  • Volvo EX30
  • Volvo EX90

This diverse lineup offers everything from compact crossovers to performance sedans and electric trucks, giving visitors a well-rounded EV test drive experience.

Why Should You Test Drive an EV?

According to a J.D Power report, EV owners benefit from substantial savings by avoiding high gasoline prices and the lower maintenance needs of electric vehicles, and drivers who experience an EV firsthand—through ownership or test drives—are far more likely to make the switch to electric. While EV adoption is growing, many potential buyers remain hesitant due to unfamiliarity with EV driving. A test drive is the best way to overcome any doubts and feel the difference for yourself!

Media and Public Invited to Engage with Plug’n Drive

Plug’n Drive representatives will be available to both media and the public throughout the duration of the Show. Journalists, industry professionals, and everyday drivers alike are encouraged to visit the EV Ride & Drive event feature at CIATS, ask questions, and take a test drive.

Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to see what it’s like to drive electric!
