STONY PLAIN, AB –(COMMUNITYWIRE)– The Parkland School Division’s CUPE Local 5543 is proud to announce the Waging Ahead Rally, scheduled to take place on May 11th from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM. This rally aims to bring attention to the public about wages that linger at poverty levels.

“We refuse to accept unsafe working conditions and wages that keep us trapped in poverty,” says Chrissy Nickel, the Vice President of CUPE Local 5543. “Our rally is a call to action, a demand for the respect and fair compensation that every worker deserves.”

The event will feature speeches from notable figures within the community, including speakers and notable guest names. Attendees can expect to hear powerful testimonials from support staff members and witness the strength of unity as they rally together for a common cause.

All members of the community are encouraged to attend the Waging Ahead Rally and show their support for Parkland School Division support staff. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that every worker is treated with the dignity and fairness they deserve.
