Workers at Toronto Seniors Housing ratify new collective agreement

TORONTO, ON –(COMMUNITYWIRE)– After more than three months of bargaining, members of the Toronto Civic Employees’ Union, CUPE 416, who work at Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation (TSHC), have ratified a new collective agreement.
TCEU 416 represents approximately 200 workers at TSHC who provide pest control, superintendent services, senior superintendent services, maintenance, cleaning and building maintenance coordination to more than 14,000 low and moderate-income senior households in 83 senior-designated buildings across the city.
These members play a key role in maintaining safe, supportive, and affordable housing for Toronto’s senior community.
The new agreement is now awaiting ratification by the TSHC Board.
