Plug’n Drive Brings Electric Test Drives to L’Ancienne-Lorette and Surrounding Communities

From June 26 to July 13, residents can test drive EVs at L’Ancienne-Lorette and nearby Roadshows as part of a cross-country electric vehicle education tour
L’ANCIENNE-LORETTE, QC –(COMMUNITYWIRE)– Plug’n Drive is heading down the North Shore of the St. Lawrence River with its Mobile EV Education Trailer (MEET), bringing a fleet of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles for pressure-free test drives to L’Ancienne-Lorette, a distinct municipal enclave within the west side of Québec City.
From Thursday to Sunday each week between June 26 and July 13, MEET L’Ancienne-Lorette will be jointly hosted by NAPA AUTOPRO NexDrive and CAA-Québec at B LEPAGE AUTO SERVICE INC | Centre d’inspection automobile CAA-Québec, at 1733 Rte. de l’Aéroport, L’Ancienne-Lorette, QC G2G 2P5. Visitors will be able to test drive at least four different plug-in vehicles.
Presented by RBC as the Champion sponsor, this will be the fifth MEET in the Eastern portion of Plug’n Drive’s EVs are for EVeryone Cross-Canada Tour, a groundbreaking initiative bringing electric vehicle (EV) education and test drives to communities across the country.
The vehicles onsite will include the electric 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV pickup, which is currently the longest-range electric pickup on the market (at up to 792 km of range on a full charge), as well as a mix of all-electric and plug-in hybrid sedans and SUVs. All of these EVs are eligible again for the province of Québec’s new and used vehicle EV rebates, which were reinstated in April after a budget pause for February to the end of March this year.
Addressing such EV, range and rebate questions while organizing test drives will be EV Ambassadors from Canadian non-profit Plug’n Drive and CAA-Québec, many of whom are electric vehicle owners. They can share resources about all the EVs available in Canada, as well as charging and technology tips for current EV owners or simply the EV curious.
The Regional Towing Sponsor for the Tour while in Québec is CAA-Québec, who organized and ran a massive cold weather EV range and charging test in February, along with support from other CAA chapters, which ended in Mont-Tremblant, Québec.
“It’s part of our mission for us to help bring real information about EVs to consumers wherever they are, and this event is a great way to showcase various EV options and benefits in driving electric,” said CAA-Québec Vice President of Mobility Services Pierre-Serge Labbé.
