Plug’n Drive’s EVs are for EVeryone Tour Brings Electric Vehicle Test Drives to Dartmouth

From August 7 to 24, Experience EVs Firsthand and Get Your Questions Answered by Local Experts
DARTMOUTH, NS –(COMMUNITYWIRE)– Plug’n Drive’s EVs are for EVeryone Cross-Canada Tour is hitting the road in Dartmouth and surrounding areas with a lineup of electric vehicles (EVs) available for free, no-pressure test drives — including, for the first time, both the Tesla Model Y and the Cybertruck.
The event will give Maritime drivers the chance to get behind the wheel of an EV and speak with local EV owners about what it’s really like to drive electric. Plug’n Drive’s Tour is a groundbreaking initiative bringing electric vehicle (EV) education and test drives to communities across the country.
From Thursday to Sunday each week between August 7 and August 24, MEET Dartmouth will be hosted at NAPA Auto Parts – NAPA Dartmouth (202 Brownlow Avenue, Unit 535, Dartmouth, N.S. B3B 1T5). NexDrive Powered by NAPA is the National Site Sponsor for the Tour.
“NAPA Canada has always kept Canadians moving, and at NexDrive, we’re proud to carry that mission forward into the electric era, as more Canadians choose electric vehicles,” said Yves Racette, Director of NAPA’s High Voltage/NexDrive development program. “We’re reimagining the future of automotive service, so drivers can travel with confidence, knowing their EVs are in expert hands.”
Visitors to MEET Dartmouth or any of its EV Roadshow locations will be able to test drive their choice of a wide variety of electric vehicles, including two all-electric pickup trucks. This is the sixth event of Plug’n Drive’s Eastern portion of its EVs are for EVeryone Cross-Canada Tour in 2025.
Thanks to the Tour’s National Champion sponsor, RBC, attendees can also discover how to earn 15,000 Avion points when they finance their eligible electric vehicle with RBC — a rewarding way to make the switch to electric.
“We’re proud to be the national champion sponsor of Plug’n Drive’s EVs are for EVeryone tour,” says Brent Aitken, RBC Regional Vice President, Metro Halifax. “Through this sponsorship and our ongoing support of Plug’n Drive, we’re helping expand their reach across the country so that more Canadians and Nova Scotians may consider a switch to EVs. We’re excited to share the experience with our employees and clients.”

CAA Atlantic is a key partner of MEET Dartmouth as the Regional Towing Sponsor, providing towing services for the MEET trailer with the club’s fully electric Chevrolet Silverado EV.
“With nearly half of Canadians open to buying an EV and only 3 per cent of EV owners willing to go back to gas, it’s clear the future is electric,” said Kurt Sampson, Zero Emissions Vehicle Advocate for CAA Atlantic. “These findings come from CAA’s own national research, and they show that drivers are ready—now it’s time for the charging infrastructure and auto industry to catch up. Events like this are key to keeping the momentum going and helping more Canadians make the switch.”
Those interested in the event are advised to book test drive appointments in advance for MEET Dartmouth, although walk up visitors are welcome as well. Drivers must be at least 21 years old, with a valid driver’s license.

Plug’n Drive’s EV Ambassadors, many of whom are EV owners themselves and members of local EV groups, will talk to drivers about sustainability, driving range and other common EV questions while facilitating test drives.
“It’s not only access to new EVs provided at these events, but also lots of personal experience to key questions about living with an EV and how it differs from gas cars,” said EV Ambassador Team Leader Bob Burton, and an active EV owner himself. “Questions are common about charging at home and on long drives, and winter range especially.”
