CUPE Ontario takes part in province-wide Day of Action for Long-Term Care with a stop in Hamilton

HAMILTON, ON –/COMMUNITYWIRE/– With Ontario entering the 2nd wave, and long-term care under threat, CUPE Ontario is joining the Ontario Health Coalition in Hamilton on October 8 for a car caravan. The event is part of over 20 rallies happening that day across the province.

The coalition of unions, community organizations, and community members are calling for improved conditions, full-time work, and wage increases for workers in long-term care; and a minimum care standard of 4-hours of hands-on care per resident per day.

WHO:  Fred Hahn, President of CUPE Ontario.

WHAT:  Hamilton car caravan as part of the Day of Action for Long-Term Care.

WHEN:  October 8, 11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
