LONDON, ON –(COMMUNITYWIRE)– Now in their third week on strike, CUPE 2073 members will walk the picket line outside of Canadian Hearing Services’ London office on Wednesday – to the rhythm of the Action Beats Collective.

They are only the latest in a long line of allies who have joined CUPE 2073 picket lines across the province, including NDP MPPs, labour leaders, and most importantly Deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing people themselves who have come out in droves to support the workers who support them.

Quote:

“We’ve had visitors, allies, and supporters join our picket line every day. They know were out here fighting for investments in services that would make the lives of Deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing people in London better. We are so grateful for that support, because it shows everyone that our fight is their fight.”

– Amanda Seavers, Program Assistant at Canadian Hearing Services and London Picket Captain
