Three New Directors Appointed to FarmSafe Foundation Board

August 24, 2016, Winnipeg, Manitoba – The FarmSafe Foundation welcomes three new members to the charity’s Board of Directors.

Jim Feeny, Director of Public Affairs for CN, brings over 35 years of leadership experience in communications, and public and government affairs to the Foundation Board.

Shanna Groeneveld, Communications Manager with Crop Production Services (CPS), has a strong background in agricultural marketing, communications and training.

K&K Casting is currently doing a Canada-wide casting call for a LEAD ROLE in the new Feature Film FIRST LIGHT. 

They are looking specifically for male actors (any ethnicity) between the ages of 16-23 who can easily pull off looking 17. 

The film follows seventeen-year-old SEAN TERRELL, who provides sanctuary for a classmate, ALEX LAINEY, who begins to develop extraordinary powers following an encounter with a UFO.

The Ontario Superior Court of Justice has approved an approximately $36 million settlement of a class action involving twelve former Ontario institutions for individuals with developmental disabilities. The lawsuit alleged former residents were harmed while living at these institutions.

Princess Auto Raises Funds to Help Keep Kids Safe

Winnipeg, MB, May 24, 2016: This past March, Princess Auto raised over $48,000 for child farm safety thanks to the generosity of their customers across Canada. All throughout March, cashiers asked customers to donate a toonie at the till to support Progressive Agriculture Foundation (PAF) Safety Days® for children in Canada.

The Canadian Agricultural Safety Association (CASA) has facilitated PAF Safety Days in Canada since 2002. This year, Princess Auto helped these efforts through its toonie at the till campaign.
