Canada’s Greatest Outdoor Super Show is back March 13-17 at the International Centre

TORONTO, February 25, 2019 /COMMUNITYWIRE/ – The Toronto Sportsmen’s Show returns for its 72nd year bringing the best that the Canadian Wilderness has to offer. With something for the entire family, Canada’s greatest outdoor super show offers fun and interactive exhibits ranging from axe throwing and tree climbing to live reptiles and canine performers. Spring is just around the corner so what better way to celebrate than with this outdoor adventure the whole family can enjoy! Join us at the International Centre in Mississauga from March 13th to 17th to shop, explore, learn and be entertained by the great outdoors!

“It’s hard to believe this year will be the 72nd annual Toronto Sportsmen’s Show! Since 1948, the show has been a popular March Break destination for families across Canada,” said Peter Lockhart, President of the Canadian National Sportsmen’s Shows. “After a long winter, we’re excited to celebrate the great Canadian outdoors with fellow outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers.”

Come and experience over 350 exhibits all under one roof at the largest outdoor show Canada has to offer. With everything from fishing, hunting, boating, travel and wildlife activities, the show features hundreds of interactive and educational exhibits fit for the entire family.

“We’re headed back to the International Centre this year and will be offering complimentary parking and free admission for children aged 12 years and under so the whole family can join in making great memories,” Lockhart adds. “We hope to see you there!”

Some of the many exciting attractions that headline this year’s show include:

West Coast Lumberjack Show presented by Husqvarna
Witness an action-packed, non-stop entertaining show from the West Coast Lumberjacks sponsored by Husqvarna. The West Coast Lumberjacks wow guests with axe throwing, log rolling, tree climbing and the loud roar of the Husqvarna chainsaw. You won’t want to look away!

Speaking of Wildlife
A Toronto Sportsmen’s Show favourite, Speaking of Wildlife is back this year and celebrating their 30th anniversary. As Canada’s largest live animal outreach company, Speaking of Wildlife has been around since 1989 and features live animals as well as natural history artifacts. Guests have an opportunity to get up close and personal with some of Ontario’s magnificent wildlife!

Ontario Hunting Retriever Clubs
Conceived by Hunters for Hunters, the Ontario Hunting Retriever Clubs promote, train and compete with hunting retrievers across North America. Come and check out daily demonstrations by the Ontario Hunting Retriever Clubs with training tips for any hunters looking to improve their dog’s performance for next season!

The WoofJocks Canine All Stars
These adorable canine performers are back once again to steal the show! The Woofjocks Canine All Stars are a team of highly skilled dogs of all sizes and breeds demonstrating comedy, athleticism, speed and unpredictability. This exciting and energetic show will be sure to leave a lasting impression on you and your family!

Birds of Prey
Get up close to some of North America’s most amazing birds with the Canadian Peregrine Foundation, who are dedicated to the restoration and recovery of endangered and threatened raptors (birds of prey) here in Canada.

Celebrity Outdoors Woman
Spring is near and now is the perfect time to celebrate the outdoors with Celebrity Outdoors Woman, Amanda Lynn Mayhew! Ministry of Natural Resources & Forestry (MNRF)
On Saturday March 16th from 11:00am to 11:30am, the MNRF will be announcing the winners of their Kid Fish Art Contest at their booth in Hall 5. This year, the MNRF is also featuring the Learn to Fish program where you can try building your own lure and reel in a fish with their fishing simulator. Ready to show off your casting skills?
